HETEROGENEOUS THRESHOLDS
Studies of contemporary mediums, methods and theories of how digital tools impact basic concepts of architectural representation and experience. This exploration emphasizes the integrated use of drawing and modeling as a representational aspect of architectural communication.
Analysis and exploration of architecture thresholds. A series of studies to redefine what these elements stand for in terms of aesthetics, representation, functionality, and relation. The development of 3D computer modeling and the evolution of techniques allows us to communicate in both two and three dimensions, effectively blurring the boundaries that exist between representation and geometry.
The operation kicks off from modeling independent architecture elements that are extracted from the stitched images. Which later on enters a hybridization stage leading to create new heterogeneous thresholds giving these elements a new definition from what it was to what it has become.
